Description: Writes "I often think of your poor sons and of the day when I went out to see you soon after the dreadful shootings. I suppose you have been able to keep the picture which we spoke about and that you will preserve it but if you should ever decide to part with it - which I hope you won't - I trust you will give me an opportunity of buying it as I should value it greatly as a memento of one of the noblest men I ever knew."
