Includes letter from Poor Law Commission about a claim for rent by Charles Moore for the Templemichael Dispensary in the Youghal Union as well as many letters from John G. Adams about estate matters. Also contains a letter from Penelope Smyth of Castle Widenham, his niece, outlining her reluctance to visit Ballynatray because of 'Charles' [probably Charles Moore, the 5th Earl of Mount Cashell] who married Smyth's daughter, Charlotte in 1848. Also includes letters about family concerns from his brothers John and Rev. Grice Blakeney Smyth.
