Description: Bell's diary, which covers the period January to December 1936, includes an account of the mood in London after George V's death, descriptions of public events to mark his death, her thoughts on Edward VIII and the political situation in Europe. Also included are accounts of her various social engagements.

Attached are copies of the order of service for a 'Form of Prayer and of Thanksgiving' on the 25th anniversary of George V's reign (1935), a newscutting from The Fauji Akhbar' dated 15/2/1936, a 'Form of Divine Service ... For General Use on Sunday, May the Ninth, 1937 Being the Sunday Preceeding the Coronation fo Their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth' (1937), and the order of service for the Coronation Service of George VI (1937).
