Description: One of the documents [not included] was in the hand of Pearse and Larkin writes in this letter about the documents: "I know they will give you great joy for to see the handwriting of he [Padraic Pearse] who gave his life for his people".

Letter from Anthony Doyle recounts his time in Kilmainham Gaol: "I was serving as a Sergeant in the Brittenh [British] army during the rising 1916 in Kilmainham Jail but thank God I had the good will of all my fellow contry [sic] men who had the misfortune to be in Kilmainham ... will you kindly forward attached letters [not included] to Mr. De Valera if you should receive this letter as it is a request I received from Mr. [Sean] McDermott during his doomed hours in Kilmainham Jail."
