Description: Sergeant's letter, written immediate aftermath of the end of World War I, relates to Armistice celebrations in the city Winchester.

Also included is an attached copy of a letter to Maud Sergeant, written to her from her son Geoffrey, concerning his participation in the Battle of Messines Ridge, dated 10 June [1917] and copied in Maud Sergeant's hand. An attached envelope contains notes relating to both letters, possibly made by Violet Hamilton.
