Description: Fred Cronin and Barry Galvin managed Muriel MacSwiney's affairs while she went to America on a Republican publicity mission soon after her husband's funeral, leaving her young daughter Máire in Mary MacSwiney's care. Cronin writes that he "felt very hurt when your wire reached me on last Saturday. I made straight to Mr. Galvin's office & he informed me that he carried out my direction on the day you sailed from Cork". Letter then sets out the situation regarding Muriel's finances and gives news of various people including Annie MacSwiney.
