Summary: | Letter also apologises for forgetting to send him birthday greetings and writes of their brother Seán MacSwiney who was released on St. Patrick's Day. He also mentions that "the Irish here are holding mass meetings all over the country demanding the recognition of the Irish Republic. The St. Patrick Day's parade was the greatest ever held in this country. The old Home Rule flag was not to be seen. The tricolor of the Republic was carried by 50,000 men and women".
