Summary:Bound volume containing a fair copy will and schedule of assets of Gerald Fitzgerald, 5th Duke of Leinster. Also included in the volume are transcriptions of letters from Spencer C. Wilde, of Lincoln's Inn, London, to the duke's agent Charles Robert Hamilton of Hamwood, Co. Meath, concerning the legal and financial matters relating to the Duke's estates. Wilde's letters include details relating to the allowance provided for the Duchess, estimated expenses regarding the upkeep of his estates and a breakdown of the servants wages.

Notes:Charles Robert Hamilton, J.P. of counties Meath and Dublin, was the eldest son of Charles William Hamilton of Hamwood House, near Dunboyne, Co. Meath, and Letitia Charlotte (née Armstrong). He was married to Louisa Brooke of Dublin, with whom he had ten children, among them the artists Eva and Letitia Hamilton. He succeeded to the Hamwood estate in 1880 and followed his grand-father and father as agent to the dukes of Leinster.
