Description: Letters are, for the most part, addressed to the Hamilton's eldest son Charles William Hamilton. Correspondents include Frances Tighe (née Crofton) of Rossana, Co. Wicklow, her husband Daniel Tighe, Henry Tuite of Sonnagh, Co. Westmeath, the Rev. William Wingfield of Abbeyleix, Edward Wilmot Chetwood, A.M. Chetwood, Robert Hamilton of Hawkesbury Mills, Canada, Augustus FitzGerald, 3rd Duke of Leinster, a member of the Stuart family of Dumfries House, a member of the Acheson family of Gosford Castle, Markethill, Co. Armagh, and additional members of the Hamilton family.

Also included are letters to condolence to Charles Wiliam Hamilton's sister Caroline Finlay of Corkagh House, Co. Dublin (from G. Eccles of Cambridge Street, Hyde Park, London), to his aunt Sarah Howard from one of her children and to his mother Caroline Hamilton from A. Wall Davis, of Kington, Herefordshire.
