| Summary: | Programme for the annual demonstration of the Dublin battalion of the Boys' Brigade which took place in the R.D.S., Ballsbridge in 1917. Chairman on Thursday was the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland Lord Wimborne. Demonstration includes squad drills, band selections and various athletic and gymanstic displays. Insignia of Boys' Brigade at top of programme. On back page is a photograph of the recreation huts in Edinburgh. Inserted into the programme is a flyer for a musical fantasia entitled 'The Life of a Soldier' in Kitchener's Army to be played by the band of the 1st Dublin St. Matthias' Company at the demonstration; Conductor Sergeant Drummer D. O'Toole, R. [Royal] Irish Fusiliers. |
