Description: James MacEntee thanks Lord Monteagle for his support [he mentions that he saw the letter of support Monteagle sent to Ulster Unionist Party councillor T.E. Alexander in the aftermath of 1916 seeking amnesty for Seán MacEntee and his release]. James MacEntee says "regarding the present case my son was rearrested on Aug[ust] 6 [1917] and has been detained in prison since, while he could have obtained any reasonable amount of bail required". He says that they do not know when his trial will take place or the court in which it will be held and that if they get a copy of the depositions he will ahve them typed and sent on to Lord Monteagle..
