Summary:Programme for a republican concert held at the Olympia Theatre Dublin in 1961, published under the name 'Coiste Cuimhneacháin Náisiúnta 1916-1964' [which roughly translates from Irish as "The 1916-1964 National Commemoration Committee"]. Illustration on recto of programme depicts a harp, a round tower, a quill and a sheet (apparently torn in half), an open book, broken chains and face of a man with eyes closed; on the back cover of the programme are the lyrics to the songs "Maurice O'Neill" and "The boy from Tralee" by Brian Na BanBan.Inside cover lists those executed and killed in action during the 1916 Rising and a reproduction print of the 1916 Proclamation. Throughout the programme are references to various Irishmen of historical importance in addition to those men involved in various contemporaneous IRA activities. Programme features poetry readings, ceilí music, storytelling, comedy acts, Irish dancing, ballads and traditional music performed such personalities as Paddy Bawn, Patrick Hickey, John Molloy, Margaret O'Reilly and Sean O'Siocain. Contains many advertisements and encourages the purchase of Irish goods, the speaking of Irish and features advertisements encouraging women "who want a free and Gaelic Ireland" to join Cumann na mBan and an advertisement encouraging people to join Sinn Féin.
