In Collection: Leslie papers, 1619-1992.
Description: Contains correspondence to Charles Powell Leslie I concerning expenses for Anne Leslie. Anne was probably a legitimate daughter of Charles who died in minority, but her legitimacy is disputed. Includes related bills and a copy of the book 'Frances Anne: the life and times of Frances Anne, Marchioness of Londonderry and her husband Charles Third Marquess of Londonderry" by Edith, Marchioness of Londonderry (1958). Pasted into the volume are notes on pedigree written by Shane Leslie concerning Anne Leslie's legitimacy and the possibility that Anne Leslie became Letitia MacDonnell (née Morres), Marchioness of Antrim and ancestor of Frances Anne, Marchioness of Londonderry.
