St. Patrick's Day, 1870 : the Irish nationalists of London.
Leaflet refers to 1870 St. Patrick's Day celebrations in London. Text reads:"The Irish Nationalist of London having determined to celebrate the approaching national festival with an enthusiasm unrivalled at any previous date in the history of their exiled race in England, have appointed a Committee for the purpose of seeing that the occasion is duly and triumphantly observed. A committee representing every shade of Irish political opinion has been organised, and will publish full details in the course of a few days." At foot of sheet: "Signed on behalf of the Committee, Francis Looney".
