Leaflet refers to statement of Cardinal Cullen on the Home Rule [in 1886]. First lines read:"My first duty is to approach all questions from my own standpoint, that is, as a Bishop, and to examine into and see what the effect of any great political change would be on religion and the Church's interests". Last lines read: "With this conviction in my mind, I for one can never advocate this revolutionary movement, as I believe it to be, for Home Rule".
