Description: Contains appointments of Leslie family members, including military appointments to the Monaghan Militia and public appointments to the county of Monaghan. Also includes some foreign appointments to the Phillipines and Spain.

MS 49,495/813 contains: Certificate of the election of Charles Powell Leslie I as Freeman of the Corporation of Horse Breeders, Co. Down (1771). Appointment of Charles Powell Leslie III as Justice of the Peace for Co. Monaghan (1844) and as Honorary Colonel of the Monaghan Militia (1857); and appointment as Deputy Lieutenant for Co. Monaghan (1844).
