Summary:Programme ['Printed by Ardiff, The Programme Printer, Dublin - E5782'] for a republican concert held at the Olympia Theatre Dublin in 1958, published by Sinn Féin under the name 'Coiste Cuimhneacháin Náisiúnta 1916-1964' [which roughly translates from Irish as "The 1916-1964 National Commemoration Committee"]. Illustration on recto of programme depicts a harp, a round tower, a quill and a sheet (apparently torn in half), an open book, broken chains and face of a man with eyes closed; on the back cover of the programme are advertisements for 'The United Irishman' newspaper and Carroll's 'Sweet Afton' Virginia cigarettes. Inside cover lists those executed and killed in action during the 1916 Rising and a reproduction print of the 1916 Proclamation. Throughout the programme are references to various Irishmen of historical importance [such as Terence MacSwiney] in addition to men involved in various contemporaneous IRA activities who had died in 1957 (such as Oliver Creaven, from Newry and Michael Watters from Louth). Programme features poetry readings, ceilí music, storytelling, Irish dancing, ballads and traditional music. Featuring many business advertisements (for Clery's, O'Connell St. Dublin and the Irish Hospital Sweepstakes, amongst others) and advertisements encouraging women to join Cumann na mBan and boys to join Fianna Éireann National Boy Scouts Organisation.
