Summary:Programme for concert held at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin in 1964, published by Sinn Féin under the name 'Coiste Cuimhneacháin Náisiúnta 1916-1964' [which roughly translates from Irish as the '1916-1964 National Commemoration Committee']. Front cover shows a recreation of the signing of the 1916 Proclamation; back cover shows an illustration of an Easter lily. Inside cover lists the names of those executed and those killed in action during the 1916 Rising and a reproduction print of the 1916 Proclamation. Throughout the programme are references to figures of historical importance in the nationalist stuggle such as Nurse Elizabeth O'Farrell [see page 8] and Terence MacSwiney [see page 11, underneath an advertisement for Kingston's, which was run by Cathal Brugha's widow Caitlín Brugha (born Kathleen Kingston)] in addition to those involved in various contemporaneous IRA activities. Programme details poetry readings, ceilí music, storytelling, comedy acts, Irish dancing, ballads and traditional music performed by Ronnie Drew, Barney McKenna and Ciaran Burke, Áine Nic Canna and Mairtín Ó Diomsaigh amongst others. it also features many advertisements [such as Leo Burdock's Fish and Chips, Werburgh St.; Kennedy's Bread; New Ireland Insurance, 12 Dawson St., Dublin and an advertisment for Player's Cigarette's and on page 19 an advertisement for Guinness amongst others] and encourages the purchase of Irish goods and the speaking of the Irish language.
