Summary:Equestrian portrait of Napoleon and his army at the the surrender of Ulm, 19 October 1805 [often known as the Convention of Ulm]. In the aftermath of the battle of Ulm, the commander of the Austrian forces Karl Mack von Leiberich [depicted centre middle-ground] offered his sword and presented himself to Napoleon as "the unfortunate General Mack".
