Description: Contains miscellaneous Leslie estate correspondence between 1769 and 1796. Mainly concerning financial, business and legal matters, lands, Bogs, tenants and leases, use of estate resources such as timber and turf. Includes: a letter to James Moore of Aghnacloy concerning lands bought by Dean Leslie from the son of John Mckenna, (the mannor also claimed by Moore), dated ca. 1700; a letter from Maynes to John Rawdon (land agent) re chairs, noting rents set for Annagh Bog on verso, dated 1787; an estimate by M? Louch re the Glaslough Estate garden wall, dated 1779; and a fair copy of renewable leases of Emyvale with remarks on W. & J. Ogle. Some reference is made to Charles Powell Leslie's political activites and volunteering.
