Summary:Contains searches, letters, deeds, mortgages, accounts and disallowances relating to the debts of the land agent of the Leslie estates, Captain John Rawdon, dated 1769-1840. After Charles Powell Leslie I's death in 1800, it emerged that John Rawdon had failed to account for over £2,000 of rental income - this culminated in court action in 1806. Circa 1812 Charles Rawdon (the son of John Rawdon) assigned some leasehold premises to Charles Powell Leslie II as part payment for the debt.
