Summary:There is a good deal of detail regarding artillery exchanges, including a direct hit on a signal depot, eight bombs hitting a train station etc. Also includes references to Sinn Féin activity and a pheasant shooting party while at home on leave. The entry for November 1 1917 says "Saw General Friend, he says I am to go to hospial...three weeks". The last entry is for November 2 1917 when he refers to the fact that he spent all day [in the hospital] in bed. [Did he survive?].
