Summary: | O'Connell remarks to Michael that "our country is a disturbed place at present"..."where ever there is a police man or soldier killed either in a town, city or village or in the country the police of Black & [and] Tans will come at night to those places and take 2 or 3 innocent young boys out of their beds and shoot them dead in [the] presence of their parents & even they don't stop at that[,] they bring cans of petrol or parafin oil & sprinkle the houses then set fire to them & burn them to the ground with all their contents". |
