Sir James Reynolds (ca. 1685/6-1747), judge, chief justice of the common pleas in Ireland (1727-1740) ; three-quarter length, to right, seated beside bookcase, both hands on his knees, wearing ceremonial robes trimmed in fur, a cloak thrown back over a cape, broad sleeves, a sash tied at the waist, and a long wig and bands.
