Handbill concerning the Irish National Teachers' Organisation general strike, 2-4 November 1918. if the demand for a war bonus on civil service terms was not conceded in the meantime [for further information regarding this, see issues of "The Irish School Weekly", 1918]. Text continues: They appeal to all parents to keep their children from school on those occasions, and thus refuse to act as strike-breakers. They confidently claim their support in this fight for mere justice. The teachers of English and Scotch children are infinitely better paid than the teachers of Irish children. Why should this be so?"
