Summary: | Leaflet referring to the general routine orders issued by General Michael Collins, Commander-in-Chief, August 1922, General Headquarters, Dublin. Includes references to the following - consideration for civilian population, conduct of soldiers in public, information to the enemy, civilians in camps, etc. and cleanliness. Manuscript annotations in pencil, present recto and verso. On recto is inscribed - "I await General Collins return query McMahon on own printing Dpt. [Department]". On verso is inscribed "To General Collins, no. 1 Order would come under heading of the Dpt. of the Commander in Chief, no. 2 and 3 under the Dpt. of the Adjutant General, no. 4 under the Dpt. of the Lieutenant General., K. Coghlan 20/8/1922". |
