The Kaiser's Ulster friends : pro-German speeches by prominent Carsonites.
Refers to Ulster Unionist pro-German speeches published in various newspapers including those by: Thomas Andrews, P.C., Honorary Secretary, Ulster Unionist Council in 'The Morning Post'; Captain Craig, M.P., in 'The Morning Post'; Major F. Crawford in the 'North Down Herald'; Mr. James Chambers, Unionist M. P. for South Belfast in 'The Belfast News-Letter' and Sir Edward Carson in the 'Evening Telegraph. Includes various headings within the text to refer to the speeches: disloyal Loyalist, pro-German "Loyalist", disloyal threats. Containing the following - "...in face of this how can we draw a veil over the pro-German attitude of Ulster Unionism? This, then is a sample of the much-vaunted loyalty of Ulster Unionism for which the British people are asked to betray the rest of Ireland. We may well apply to the Carsonites the words of Kipling: " If black is black and white is white, in black and white it's down they are only traitors to the King and rebels to the Crown". At foot of sheet: "Will England support disloyal "Ulsters"?"
