Summary: | Handwritten notation attached to the mounting reads: "Souvenir of anti-conscription fight. Fac-simile of card issued by the National Defence Committee (Ballyhaunis) during the anti-conscription strugggle in 1918. A copy of this card is rare as most of them were either seized by the military or destroyed in anticipation of military raids during '19-20-21, the authorities holding it to be a "seditious" document.
