Summary:Broadside published in 1924 by the then illegitimate Republican Government discouraging people from attending the inaugural Aonach Tailteann which was being organised by the [legitimate] Free State Government. Signed off byPádhraigh Ó Ruithleis. Parts of text include: 'In the year 1921 Dáil Eireann, the Government of the Republic of Ireland, in the confident belief that the Unity and Freedom of Ireland had been achieved...decreed that Aonach Tailteann...should be re-established...now in the midst of our renewed effort for Irish Unity and Independence...and President De Valera...and 1200 soldiers of the Republic are held captive in military prisons...the so-called Free State Government...are endeavouring and preparing to hold games and festivals at Dublin in August, 1924'.
