Caption reads: "Sir Henry Wilson tells a Lancashire audience what the matter is with England, Egypt, India, Silesia, Palestine, Mesopotamia, Constantinople, and, Ireland". Wilson was assassinated the following month, on 22 June 1922 outside his house 36 Eaton Place, London, [returning from the unveiling of the Great Eastern Railway War Memorial at Liverpool Street Station] by Reginald Dunne and Joseph O'Sullivan, two London-based members of the Irish Republican Army.
