Published caption reads: Greenwood: "Things are going nicely, sir. Two more towns were burnt last night." Carson: "Only two, confound it. This demand for an inquiry is growing, and at this rate we'll have to grant it before the job is half through." Illustration depicts Hamar Greenwood addressing David Lloyd George, who is sitting on a throne; a surly looking Edward Carson leans over the throne, his elbow resting close to Lloyd George's head, eyeing Greenwood.
