A general vindication of the Catholic's [i.e. J. Lingard's] remarks on the intolerant charge of Shute Barrington, Bp. of Durham, to the clergy of his diocese, with appropriate animadversions on three illiberal replies attempted to be made by the Rev. T. Le Mesurier, the Rev. G. Faher, and an anonymous clergyman [i.e. H. Phillpotts] in answer to the Catholic's remarks on the Bishop's charge :
containing also some cursory observations on ... methods adopted by the philosophers ... of the Church of England, in interpreting the prophecies and revelation ... /
