Notes: | Attributed to Manetho, but spurious. Editio princeps. "The first edition of the Apotelesmatika was prepared by Gronovius and based upon his own examination of [Codex Laurentianus, Plut. 28, cod. 27, the sole surviving manuscript]. Besides the Greek text, it contains a preface, notes, minimal critical apparatus and Latin translation. Gronovius adheres closely to the manuscript, even when it makes no sense."--Robert Lopilato, The "Apotelesmatika" of Manetho (PhD dissertation, Brown University, 1998), p. 4. Lopilato's introduction includes a detailed account of the sources of the work, concluding that it "must have been assembled as a unit in the third century". "Jacobi Gronovii ... notae": p. 265-294. "Corrigenda vel addenda": p. 294-296. Collation: 4to: *-2*⁴ 3*1 A-2O⁴ [$3 signed]; 157 leaves, pp. [18 unn.] 1-296 [misprinting 165 as 145, 237 as 337].
