Summary:Pearse writes "The [Publication] Committee has just passed a rule whereby all mss. before being considered by it must be submitted for report to at least two of a number of readers, of which you are one". Mac Neill mentions in his reply that "[Thomas] O'Brien Butler called at my office yesterday & I learned from him that no public steps had yet been taken to raise a guarantee list for his opera".
