"There have been printed of this book 250 copies ... of which 200 are numbered ond [i.e. and] the first 50 signed; 25 copies on Japon imperial paper and two copies on Japon nacré paper of which the first twenty and the first respectively are numbered and signed ... Only the numbered copies are for sale."
Specially bound grey, white and red marbled hard cover. Inside is original binding of black wrappers with light grey and black illustration.
LO 12063 in the National Library of Ireland was a presentation copy to the artist, Stanley William Hayter, of a work he considered "a significant development" of his early Paris period with 2 copies of copper engravings in sepia and black.
LO 12063 is inscribed by the author, George Reavey, to Stanley William Hayter [illustrator of the work], who has so well interpreted my thought in both "Faust's Metamorphoses" and "Nostradam." - George Reavey Paris May 1935.
