Sketch in pencil of woman on inside back cover, probably by John Butler Yeats, father of the poet, as well as 10 lines of verse written in pencil opposite same sketch, and also 12 lines of writing in pencil on page 388. In addition, there is an ink signature by J. B. Yeats on the title page and a note dated April 1920 saying : 'This book was given to me by John Quinn.' Includes MS annotations and underlining of text, notably on page 148.
Inscribed on front free endpaper: "To / Mrs. W. B. Yeats / with the kind / regards of / John Quinn / 58 Central Park West / New York / May 5. 1920."
