Notes:Daniel O. Madden, originally from Mallow in Co. Cork, was a friend of Thomas Davis but an opponent of Daniel O'Connell and Repeal. Sir Charles Denham Orlando Jephson-Norreys, 1st Baronet Deputy Lieutenant was the grandson of William Jephson and the great-grandson of Anthony Jephson, both of whom represented Mallow in the Irish House of Commons. He was first elected to the British House of Commons for Mallow in 1826. Until 1838 when he was created a Baronet of Mallow in the County of Cork, he was known as Denham Jephson but in July of 1838 he assumed by Royal License the additional surname of Norreys.
