Includes a statement by excise officers relating to the discovery of an unlicensed "still head and worm of a still" and "640 Gallons of Pot-ale" and "200 Gallons of Singlings". Includes interesting accounts of raids on illegal distilleries and breweries by the excise officers and attacks by mobs, in one case allegedly 400 strong, who were angry at being deprived of the alcohol.
Note - please handle with care, quite delicate material but in excellent condition.
