A manuscript book containing writings, mostly poems and sonnets by Mary and William Tighe;
with some by C.[aroline] W. Hamilton;

C. W. Hamilton is probably Caroline Hamilton, neé Tighe, Mary Tighe's cousin, who was a close friend. A number of the poems are signed "C.H." or "Mary Tighe, author of Psyche" and a large number of the works describe the scenery in and around Wicklow and in particular Woodstock in Co. Kilkenny where the Tighe family owned the large state of Woodstock House.

A bound manuscript volume, marbled boards, half trim in morrocco red leather which is somewhat rubbed and damaged.
Pasted on the inner boards is a blue oval trade label bearing the words: "Sold by Clarke / Printer Bookseller & Stationer / No. 50 / Great britain, Corner of Moore Street / Dublin".
