Documents and letters relating to the collapse of the Dillon and Ferrall bank [run by Thomas Dillon and Richard Ferrall] which suspended payments in 1754 after the partners absconded. The material includes details concerning accounts, letters relating to the committee appointed to enquire into the state and condition of creditors of the bank, a letter to the attorney Mr. Matthew Sweeny, a letter showing the illegitimate use of free government post etc. Also a broadside letterpress notice entitled "To the creditors of Thomas Dillon and Richard Ferrall, late Bankers in Dublin" printed by James Pue in Skinner-Row, Dublin 1761.
