Notes: | Endorsed in hand of James Joyce 'This should be stopped at once. The translations I made of 2 of H's plays, this and Michael Kramer, were simply exercises to learn German. They have no value as translations at all. I made the translations because these plays were then untranslated and I wanted to read them. One of my family in Dublin must have sold the copybooks I left there in 1904. H. would have a fit if they were published too.' Available on microfiche; Physical description: 1 letter.
