| Summary: | Has received letter and telegrams from his son and from Léon, wrote to his daughter-in-law, will Léon ask Dr Fontaine to return the two letters Joyce sent her, his daughter has not been well since her arrival in La Baule, she is the only person who remembered the 35th anniversary of the Joyces's marriage, Dr O'Brien and his friends from the Rockefeller Foundation gave a supper in honour of the Joyces to their great surprise, financial matters, the O'Casey book he received was not the edition he wanted, he did not get the Berkeley, send Pelorson's article to his publishers in London and to Curran, repeat anything special in Miss Weaver's letter, it is impossible to hide anything from his wife because she opens his post, she tears up anything that looks like 'rubbish', he will send certificate of existence to his lawyers, he sent everything back to Gorman, thanks Giorgio for his telegram and thank Léon's brother-in-law for what he has done to help Giorgio, ask Miss Weaver to find out if there have been any reviews of his book in the Sunday Times since the 27 September, encloses list of clothes which he had asked his daughter-in-law to send, will Léon find out if she did so and if not have them sent on. |
