Summary: | School exercise book for mathematics. Red-brown cover with black tape binding along outer spine. With printed cover title: "L'ÉTUDIANT [laurel wreath] Papeterie-Imprimerie F. BÉNARD 10, Galerie de l'Odéon, 10 Mainson principale: 16, Rue de Vaugirard". This notebook is a kind of "commonplace book", in which the young Joyce kept accounts, notes, lists of reading, quotations and other scribbles, during his time in Paris and in Pola, when he was in his early 20s. |
