Also included are two black and white photographs of Watson in later life [one of him seated reading a letter and one of him and two other ladies [one of whom he is holding hands with - possibly his wife - she holds a lucky horseshoe - a celebration of a wedding anniversary perhaps?]. Included is a modern copy of his journal published by the Naval & Military Press Ltd. in June 1988 entitled "A naval cadet with HMS Shannon's Brigade in India: the journal of Edward Spenser Watson". The original written by Spenser was entitled "Journal - India: with HMS "Shannon" Naval Bridgade from August 18th, 1858 [by] Edward Spencer Watson Naval Cadet" and was originally published by W.E. and J. Goss, Booksellers and Stationers". This was written during a period of the Indian rebellion.
