| Notes: | Handbill featuring details of correspondence of Philip Gilmore, public accountant in Dublin [address "8 Angelsea St, Dublin on 30 October 1923"] to 10 Downing St, London, regarding the imprisonment of his son Harry Gilmore, by the Irish Free State; with references to the C.I.D. [Criminal Investigation Department in the Irish Free State - an armed, plain-clothed counter-insurgency police unit that operated during the Irish Civil War but disbanded around the time of the publication of this leaflet (on 29 October 1923)]. Towards end of the leaflet is a reprint of a letter sent from Harry Gilmore in 'B' Hut, Tintown Camp, Curragh to his mother - he writes "We are all very weak and confined to bed for the last few days. I got up today to make my bed and nearly fainted. Joe Murray did collapse...". He asks her to send him "Bovril, Cornflower, American Cream Crackers and anything that you think would be good for me.
