Summary:This junction of the Longford/ Dublin roads is known as 'Sweeney's Corner' from the family run grocery and bakery ' Sweeney's' which dominated the corner for the greater part of the century. In recent times the shop has had a chequered career but stability would seem to be restored with the opening of a bracnh of' 'Ladbrook's, Turf Accountants' in October of this year (1993)
