Summary:Many village halls in West Wicklow commemorate the lives of patriots from the past and the one in this photograph is in memory of Seamus O Toole, "The Sallies" , Rathdangan , who died for the cause of Irish Freedom. This Village hall has been the hub of community life down thru the years. Some might call it " The Ballroom of Romance" because it wasa here the girls had a chance to meet the boys. The Hall has been part of local cultural development: being venue for the three-act plays, the travelling show, the agricultural classes, the Marian arts meetings and those of other local organisatons, the whilst Drive , the Irish Dancing class.......
