On June 3rd 1950 there was a Kilmacud and Mt Merrion Parochial Building Fund Fete held at Oatlands Stillorgan. A very prominent advertisement in the souvenir was Mr Jack Baumanns, which summed up his enterprise. "Whether it's a newspaper, magazine, book, ice cream, stationery, toys, a postcard to send to Aunt Maria, a box of chocs for Cousin Lucy, sweets for the twins you will get it better at Baumanns."
