Summary: | This building is featured as photo No15(page 96) in Jack Fitzsimons 1190 Thatched Houses of Co Meath Vol 1, Kells Publishing Co. It is stated to be one of two houses of this kind surviving in Ireland. It probably was an important place for horse changesin the horse transport days. It is on the main Dublin to Dunshauglin to Navan road. A complicated Will renders it difficult for the Rathfeigh Historical Society to do anything effective in the conservation othis important building. |
