Summary: | There is no bridge over the Barrow at this point on a map dated 1678. The present bridge was built in the 1700's for horse drawn traffic. It provided easy access to the Spa Wells that were located just outside the town. It will soon be necessary to widen the bridge to accommodate the ever increasing volume of traffic.. |
